WarHorse's temporary casino is set up inside the simulcast wagering facility at the Lincoln Race Course near U.S. 77 and West Denton Road. The entrance to the facility is off West Denton Road. The temporary facility opened on September 24, 2022, and features 9,000 sq ft of gaming, including more than 400 slot machines, and a dedicated viewing area for simulcast horse racing guests. From June 22, 2023, visitors at WarHorse Casino Lincoln can place sports wagers via any of the 10 kiosks in the casino or the sports book window.

Ground was broken on July 12th, 2022, on the WarHorse Casino at Lincoln Race Course. The approximately $300 million project is expected to be completed in 18 months and will include a 200-room hotel, several new dining options, including a high-end steakhouse, sports bar, café, and more than 1,100 slot machines, 100 gaming tables, a sportsbook and both live and simulcast horse racing and a three-story parking garage. The permanent casino is expected to open the second half of 2024 and will continue through the end of the year to add more gaming space, a 220-room hotel, a convention and event center, and a parking garage. 

WarHorse Gaming, a subsidiary of the Winnebago Tribe’s Ho-Chunk Inc., has partnered with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association to operate casino gambling at the Lincoln Race Course. The $200 million casino resort to be located along West Denton Road near U.S. 77 in southwest Lincoln, will reportedly feature 165,000 square feet of space, as well as 1,500 stalls in an adjacent parking structure.

The existing Lincoln Race Course is home to a newly completed ⅞-mile horse track, as well as Winner’s Circle Sports Bar and Grille, a full-service restaurant and bar where visitors can eat and drink while watching sporting events and wager on live simulcast horse racing. There is also an indoor smoking lounge. 

*WarHorse is also working on casinos planned for Horsemen's Park in Omaha and at the former Atokad Downs in South Sioux City, which was reportedly purchased by the Ho-Chunk Winnebago Tribe in 2012 for $30 million.
